Here abbreviated version: OLMOS Y CANALDA 1927–1928, p. 68; DOMÍNGUEZ Y BORDONA 1933, 2, p. 240 no 1919 (“S. XIV … Arte francés”); SANCHIS Y SIVERA 1930, p. 46, p. 60 no 33 and p. 63 no 29; OLMOS Y CANALDA 1943, p. 68 (the text is not mentioned); VILLALBA Y DÁVALOS 1957; FLEITH 1991, p. 295; La Ciudad de la Memoria 1997, p. 162–169 [FRANCISCA ALEIXANDRE] (the text is not mentioned); PELOUX 2021b, p. 198 sq. with n. 29, p. 202 sq. and p. 211–217 (edition: p. 212–217; manuscript Va). The manuscript is not mentioned by PUIG Y PUIG 1929, p. 357; FÁBREGA GRAU 1958, p. 109 and 151. Amparo Villalba y Dávalos pleaded for an early 14th-century product from Avignon. However, the adaptation of the Legenda aurea-text to the horizon of saints and feasts of Christ typical for the Septimano-Catalan world speaks for a product made for a Catalan owner (person or institution), which is no surprise, since Valencia itself formed part of the Ecclesia Tarraconensis until 1492. Copies of the “Flos sanctorum” are witnessed several times in sources of Valencia Cathedral: two copies among manuscripts which came from Avignon to Valencia in 1356, a copy is mentioned in the inventory of the priest Juan Porta of 1418, May 4: “‘Flos sanctorum’, pergamino”, and copies are also mentioned in the book inventories of Valencia Cathedral from 1418, October 27: “Item, hun ‘flos sanctorum’ de grossa letra, feneix en lo segon corondell de la primera pagina ‘ad tertium’, e comença en los darer corondell de la darrera pagina ‘multa beneficia’”, and 1476, April 8: “Item, altre libre appellat ‘flos sanctorum’, incipit: ‘universum tempus’, et finit: ‘per dominum’”. PÉREZ Y GIMÉNEZ 2019, p. 107 with n. 85 identifies the parchment manuscript (however with question marks) with an entry in the inventory of the Cathedral library from 1627, March 18, where under the no 109 is quoted a paper manuscript: “Íttem, hun ‘Flos sanctorum’, manuscrit en paper, de quart de major, cubertes de pergamí, ‘aliter intitulat ‘de ‘Vitis sanctorum’, manuscriptis’”.
