No manuscript, Paulus Diaconus - Homiliarium

A mid-thirteenth-century hand and a late thirteenth-century hand making additions to the Liber consuetudinum of the Vic Cathedral redacted by the canon Andreu Salmúnia in 1216/1228 mention several times a homiliary with the title “Charolus” or “Karolus”, Liber consuetudinum ecclesiae Vicensis, 198 n. 31, 204 n. 55, 206 n. 58, and 246 n. 259 and 267. This is perhaps the old manuscript which was used for a copy of ca. 1080 for Santa Maria de l’Estany: see there. It could be also the manuscript later mentioned in the Vic inventory of April 1368: “Item altro libra entich de legenes e de sermons apellat ‘Karlo’”, Inventarium ecclesiae Ausonensis a. 1368 (1934), p. 16 no 73; Inventarium ecclesiae Ausonensis a. 1368 (2001), p. 411 l. 14: GROS I PUJOL 2002, p. 703 with n. 145; DE PUIG I OLIVER 2017–2019, p. 581 n. 174 (“karlo”) and p. 621 sq. with n. 497 (“karla”).
