No manuscript, Johannes Diaconus - Vita S. Nicolai [BHL 6104-6110]

This lost Ripoll testimony was written under abbot Oliba and is hidden in the “Liber bede cum evangeliis II.” mentioned in the catalogue of 1047, Catalogus codicum manuscriptorum S. Mariae Rivipullensis a. 1047 (1908), p. 102 no 67 sq.; Catalogus codicum manuscriptorum S. Mariae Rivipullensis a. 1047 (1992), p. 399 l. 8. In the description of Pròsper de Bofarull of 1823 is it mentioned as “Prólogo y vida muy difusa de S.n Nicolás”: VILLANUEVA 1821c, p. 36 sq. (“sec. XI. ineun.”), here p. 36; BEER 1908, 1, p. 43 sq. (who however connects the transfer of this text already with the Rome travel of Abbot Arnau of Ripoll in 950; his copy was not identical with Oliba’s manuscript); ALBAREDA I RAMONEDA 1931, p. 277 with n. 1; VALLS Y TABERNER 1931a, p. 12 sq. no 0/1, here p. 12; COLL I ALENTORN 1951–1952, p. 196 with n. 169; DÍAZ Y DÍAZ 1969, p. 239 n. 144; DELCOR I ALEXIS 1974, p. 47 with n. 11 (following the opinion of Beer); IBARBURU Y ASURMENDI 1987b, p. 281 n. 52; MUNDÓ I MARCET 1988, p. 109 with n. 65; PUIG I FERRETÉ e. a. 1998, p. 95 sq. no 479, here p. 96, and p. 164 no 479; TISCHLER 2001, p. 338 with n. 360; ZIMMERMANN 2003, 1, p. 566 with n. 97; SUREDA I JUBANY 2014, p. 291 with n. 41.
