Unidentified, olim Sainte-Marie de Fontfroide, containing Hrabanus Maurus, Homiliae in Evangelia et Epistolas

No manuscript, Hrabanus Maurus - Homiliae in Evangelia et Epistolas

The library catalogue of this Cistercian abbey from 1244 mentions the copy of a larger edition of this Homiliary on the first bookshelf (“In prima tabula sunt isti”) with Bible manuscripts and homiliaries (probably under the letter “A”): “Rabanus maior”, Catalogus codicum manuscriptorum S. Mariae Fontis Frigidi a. 1244, p. 276 l. 15: BELL 1995, p. 79 and 89–91 (“We cannot be certain of what works of Rabanus are listed here and … below (‘Rabanus minor’). It would be unusual to find his biblical commentaries cited thus, and ‘Rabanus maior’ may possibly refer to his ‘De rerum naturis’/‘De universo’ or to the popular ‘Allegoriae’ invariably attributed to him … But it is impossible to be specific in this matter”).
