The inventory of Nîmes Cathedral, made by the canon Bertrand de Pony, on January 11, 1219, mentions the Life of St Nicolas at the beginning of an old Passionary belonging to the book collection of the Cathedral cloister (“Item inveni in claustro”): “passionarium veterem, qui incipit à vita S. Nicholai”, Inventarium ecclesiae S. Petri Nemausensis a. 1219, p. 67 col. b l. 55 sq.
