Here at the beginning with mutilated preface (inc: “Tertium] genus est intellectuale …”). According to Domíguez y Bordona, the manuscript belonged to the book collection of the founding community under abbot Guillem who came from the southern French mother abbey Grandselve. An argument for this early possession could be that in Santes Creus’ earliest book inventory of the last quarter of the 12th century are mentioned “Exposiciones apochalipsis due”, of which one could be our manuscript, Catalogus codicum manuscriptorum Sanctarum Crucium saec. XII4/4, p. 16 no 20 sq. The crude round Caroline minuscule and the specific type of initial letter (“Knollenblätter-Initiale”), however, betray central Italian origin: DOMÍNGUEZ Y BORDONA 1952, p. 13 (“Siglo XI”; with the assumption that this manuscript formed part of the original donation from Grandselve to Santes Creus), 17, 23 and 112; DOMÍNGUEZ Y BORDONA 1953–1954, p. 59; MUNDÓ I MARCET 1988, p. 110 sq. with n. 75 (with the wrong author name “Haimo of Halberstadt” and date “siglo XI”; “Italia central”); BONDÉELLE-SOUCHIER 1991, p. 126 sq.
