In its complete present form (together with Leiden, Bibliotheek der
Rijksuniversiteit, Voss. lat. F. 111), this manuscript is the result of a
combination of several parts from the library of Colbert, later
Jacques-Auguste de Thou. Our part, written in Visigothic minuscule, is
according to Bernhard Bischoff, a corner stone of the early, still hybrid
Carolingian Lyons scriptorium, but it could also be a manuscript in Felix of
Urgell’s possession building a bridge between the still Visigothic world of
the early ninth century Pyrenean region and Lyons, where he was exiled until
his death in 818. Already Jacques Sirmond printed all four parts of Carmen
XLI in 1646 (taken from the present manuscript? According to DELISLE 1879,
p. 6 n. 3 from the Le Puy copy). A nearly related manuscript is Paris,
Bibliothèque nationale de France, Ms. lat. 2832, fol. 124r–130r, a copy of
Manno of Saint-Oyen (BISCHOFF 2014, p. 84 no 4240), which shows in Carmen
XLI, II also v. 55 sq. missing: DÜMMLER 1881, p. 440 (with the unprecise
