120v-139r, Alcuin - Expositio in Ecclesiasten

Here an abbreviated version. The manuscript, written by several hands (the blind inscription from above to below on the outer margin of fol. 57r: “UUIPERTUS FELICITER ME FECIT” could be that of the initiator) was donated by a Rotlandus to the school of Saint-Remi during the 9th century (see the entry in pale Capitalis rustica on the lower margins of fol. 72v/73r: “ROTLANDUS DEDIT LIBER [!] AD SCOLAE [!] SANCTI / REMIGII”) where it got in the 13th century an ex-libris and shelfmark (see upper margin of fol. 96r: “Liber Sancti Remigii Remensis . Volumen .CC. et IIIJ. et IJ.). The manuscript was then in the possession of Jacques-Auguste de Thou (see fol. 1r lower margin), where it was no 268 in his library (see Paris, Bibliothèque nationale de France, Ms. Dupuy 653, fol. 16r) and came finally via the collection of Jean-Bapiste Colbert in the Royal Library at Paris: Catalogus codicum manuscriptorum 1744a, p. 336 col. a (“Is codex saeculo decimo exaratus videtur”; the text is not mentioned); PORCHER 1952, p. 114–116 and 404 sq., here p. 115 (“IXe s.”); STEGMÜLLER 1961, p. 68 sq. no 10364 (“IX”); SAMARAN/MARICHAL 1962, 1, p. 531, BERNDT 1994, p. 19 sq. and 23; KIELING 2002; RUZICKOVA 2003; BISCHOFF 2014, p. 83 no 4236 (“Wohl Südfrankreich, IX.
