Madrid, Biblioteca Nacional de España, Ms. 105 (olim A. 113)

21r-51v, Smaragdus of Saint-Mihiel - Diadema monachorum

Link to digitization: here.
At the end of the manuscript on fol. 122r–124v a Catalan text under the rubric: “Aquestes son les virtuts de lagygua ardent”, which is a strong hint at the manuscript’s provenance from Catalonia. This is confirmed by a partially erased and therefore poorly legible entry on fol. 124v, which mentions the diocese of Vic and a priest from Cubells (near Balaguer, not in the diocese of Vic): “... vicensj ... tenet in ecclesia dei dominj rectoris de cubellis ...": PERTZ 1843b, p. 771 (“s. XIII. od. XIV.”); LOEWE/VON HARTEL 1886, p. 349 (“s. XIV”); MASSÓ I TORRENTS 1896, p. 53–58 no III (the text is not mentioned); DOMÍNGUEZ Y BORDONA 1931, p. 12 sq., here p. 13 (“Smaragdo … s. XIV”); ANGLÈS I PÀMIES 1935, p. 182 no 64 (“segle XIV”; the text is not mentioned); ANGLÉS Y PÁMIES/SUBIRÁ Y PUIG 1946, p. 164 sq. no 89 (“siglo XIV … era propiedad de un párroco de Cubells, en la diócesis de Vich”); Inventario general de manuscritos de la Biblioteca Nacional 1953, p. 97. The manuscript is not mentioned by ROCHAIS 1953, p. 252 sq. n. 3, here p. 253; RÄDLE 1974; WITTERS 1975; GRÉGOIRE 1984, p. 7 sq. Digitization: http://bdh-rd.bne.es/viewer.vm?id=0000013254&page=1.
