The manuscript is probably one of the two manuscripts mentioned in the Ripoll catalogue of 1047, “Amelarii II.”, Catalogus codicum manuscriptorum S. Mariae Rivipullensis a. 1047 (1908), p. 105 no 160 sq.; Catalogus codicum manuscriptorum S. Mariae Rivipullensis a. 1047 (1992), p. 399 l. 11: EWALD 1881, p. 389; BEER 1908, 1, p. 106 no 160 sq.; HANSSENS 1933, p. 327 (who does not mention existing Catalan copies of the work); MARTÍNEZ Y DÍEZ 1961, p. 654 with n. 7; MARTÍNEZ Y DÍEZ 1962, p. 216 (first suggestion of identification); MIRANDA Y GARCÍA 2015, p. 34 with n. 47; GROS I PUJOL 2016, p. 134 no 43 and p. 148; DE PUIG I OLIVER 2017–2019, p. 602 n. 368. The Ripoll provenance is confirmed by the name of Ramon de Berga, abbot of Ripoll (1172–1205) on fol. 1v: “Sub sacro sancto Trinitatis nomine . The manuscript is then mentioned as no 162 of the Elenchus Librorum Ms. qui in regalis Monasterii Rivipolli Bibliotheca modo reperiuntur (Madrid, Real Academia de la Historia, Colección Abad de Lasierra, Legajo, no 14), sent to Madrid on demand of the secretary of the state Carvajal in 1752: “Liber compistorum. Liber officiorum Amalairii epis. Romanus ordo in Hebdomada maiore cum gestis sinodalibus variorum Conciliorum. Tractatus Prisciani Gramatici”: MARTÍNEZ Y DÍEZ 1961, p. 654–656. This manuscript was then given for a while to Pedro Rodríguez y Campomanes in Madrid for the study of the Collectio Hispana and repurchased from Bernardo Pereira Borrajo in Madrid for Catalonia. Furthermore, the different content of this Ripoll copy shows that it was the second of the two copies of the work which were described by Benet Ribas i Ribas in his catalogue under the no 76 and 162: “Liber officiorum Amalarici episcopi ad Carolum regem. Summa Iohannis Belet. Libellus Walahfridi Strabonis de incrementis quarundam in observationibus ecclesiasticis rerum” and “Liber computorum. Liber officiorum Amalarii episcopi ad Carolum regem … Prisciani Caesariensis quaedam”: MARTÍNEZ Y DÍEZ 1961, p. 655 sq. BEER 1908, 1, p. 105 no 160 sq.; HANSSENS 1948, p. 128 believed both copies lost. Finally, Pròsper de Bofarull described it in 1823 (“‘Tabulae computi Ecclesiastici editae ab Oliba monacho Rivipolensi año 1161 [!] = Amalarii Episcopi libri de officiis ecclesiasticis, et Canones generalium conciliorum a temporibus Constantini’.
