A folium from a Passionary with an excerpt from Ado of Vienne’s
Martyrologium (August 1) on fol. 17ra. The fragment was used as cover of a
manual (“Manual de notes de 1503 fins en lo any 1514”) which stems from the
archive of the parish church of Santa Maria de Verdú (Urgell). Is it the
fragment of an old Poblet manuscript, since the Cistercian abbey was
possessor of Verdú? On the other hand, until the sixteenth century, Verdú
belonged to the diocese of Vic: El arte románico 1961, p. 126 no 225 (the
text is not mentioned); OLIVAR I DAYDÍ 1967, p. 30 no 35 (the text is not
mentioned); JANINI Y CUESTA 1978b, p. 69 and 73 sq., here p. 73 (“Siglo XI”;
without exact identification); PLADEVALL I FONT e. a. 1997, p. 447 [ANSCARI
MUNDÓ I MARCET/ANNA GUDAYOL I TORELLÓ]; MARTÍN Y IGLESIAS 2009, p. 343 (with
the wrong shelfmark “193, fragm. 14” and without identification of the
provenance from Ado’s Martyrology); GUDAYOL I TORELLÓ 2014, p. 63 and p. 69
sq. no 1 (with the wrong date “S. XI”); ESTÉVEZ Y SOLA 2019, p. 73 (with the
wrong date “siglo XI” and without identification of the provenance from
Ado’s Martyrology). The fragment is not mentioned by QUENTIN 1908, p.
466–468; JULLIEN/PERELMAN 1994, p. 33 sq.; IGLESIAS I FONSECA 2002.
